  • Solid curly maple (flamed maple, tiger maple, fiddleback maple) box construction
  • Bookmatched curly maple top
  • Walnut heart inlayed into the top
  • Box joints, also known as finger joints, lock the front and sides together making this a very rigid box
  • Brass hinges hold the top open at ~95 degrees (these are awesome hinges, not cheap!)
  • Clear coated with 3 coats of satin polyurethane for a durable finish
  • The maple I used for this box is incredibly curly, flamed, tiger'ey...whatever you want to call it. It's very vibrant in person and is hard to capture in pictures.
